...is lost. Something so fragile watches as the world is destroyed around her, watches as sooty ravens flee from the choking clouds of smoke slowly devouring what they love. She only watches, patiently anticipating destruction - afraid to spread her wings; afraid to fall.

But see what lonliness and patience culminate? And forth, shines that light; that hope. The thin beam that encouraged the first fragile bird to fly, and will be there quitely watching when the last fragile bird falls.

Needless to say, this piece is very personal. I am very close to it and have been working on it steadily for some time. All comments are welcome, and all thoughts on the work are welcome. I won't say my exact feelings behind this - draw your own conclusions.

[I plan on making it available as a print so I can buy one of my own and put it on my wall.]

I really like the emotion you can feel from this, at first she might be viewed as relaxing, then a closer look and she seems to be leaning against the swing almost sorrowfully, but waiting still with some hope as you read the writing. I really like the colours here, I think I can actually feel the atmosphere when I look at this.:blackrose:

Thank you for that. This work is very close to my heart, so all insight about it is very appreciated.

It's very open-ended though - so it's meant for people to draw whichever meanings they can from it. After all, I believe art is only restricted by the mind viewing it.

Ahh, thank you very moch for that. I didn't pay as much attention to lighting as I should've, and now that you've brought it up, I'll be sure to keep an eye on that.
